Debbie Darlow has litigated complex commercial cases for over twenty years. Her extensive trial practice encompasses a broad array of business litigation matters including antitrust cases; business torts; class actions; construction disputes; contract disputes; fiduciary disputes; officer and director liability; oil & gas matters; partnership cases;  real estate disputes; and securities fraud. Ms. Darlow has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts before judges and juries. Ms. Darlow has successfully represented clients located throughout the United States and in Canada and Asia.

Ms. Darlow is an honor graduate of the University of Houston College of Law where she served as Publications Editor for the Houston Law Review, and was a member of the Order of the Coif and Order of the Barons. Ms. Darlow received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Houston. Ms. Darlow is a Fellow of the Texas Bar and Houston Bar Foundations and has served in various capacities in Bar activities, including as Panel Chair of the District 4-H Grievance Committee.

Representative Cases

  • Successfully defended an international hotel REIT in seven class actions alleging securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duties, breach of contracts and antitrust claims.
  • Obtained summary judgments and jury verdict for national, low-income housing tax credit investment companies in contract and partnership dispute involving a low income housing development.
  • Led the successful defense of an international securities brokerage firm in a securities fraud case.
  • Successfully prosecuted and defended partnership and fiduciary duty claims on behalf of a national vacation time-share company in a complex partnership dispute involving numerous cases filed in state and federal courts and in arbitration.
  • Obtained summary judgment for a global industrial conglomerate in a federal case involving RICO, contract, antitrust and employment claims.
  • Successfully represented an international hotel company in various contract and construction disputes.
  • Obtained a jury verdict for a NASA contractor in the prosecution of fraud, breach of fiduciary duties and business tort claims against former officers and directors and other contractors. 
  • Obtained summary judgment and dismissal of fraud and contract case against oil & gas investors in a partnership dispute.
  • Successfully defended outside directors in a breach of fiduciary duty case.
  • Successfully defended a national footwear manufacturer in an antitrust case.
